Abstract

Trees in the Levantine rock art of the Iberian Peninsula and their possible meanings: honey trees,
mythical trees, initiation trees, resurrection trees. The presence of trees in rock art does not
necessarily mean a Neolithic chronology. Hunter and gatherer peoples have myths in which trees
are involved.
